and all i have left is memories of your face smiling at me.
it took us all by surprise, no we never saw this coming.
always were, always will be my hero.
reasons why john mitchell makes me cry myself to sleep → season one.
Okay, so i’ve sorted out the queue for next few weeks.
I tell you this because, be warned, there is a fucking avalanche of Annie, George and Mitchell.
And Annie and Mitchell. (OTP feels)
So, y’know, get ready for emotional heartbreak.

Annie’s eyes watered as she stepped through her door at long last. It was literally like stepping into the past. Before they all died. George and Mitchell were sat next to each other, watching The Real Hustle with such concentration, it was almost indecent and Nina sat on the arm chair, watching George fondly, while every now and then throwing a slight glare toward Mitchell and just in general, being Nina.
Annie, unintentionally made a slight squeal, causing the three to notice her. It wad George that got up first and hugged her.
“Annie! We’ve been waiting for you!” he beamed, looking at her with slight tears in his eyes.
Annie barely noticed Nina hurtling toward her, with a huge grin on her face, before she knocked into Annie and Eve with such force she nearly knocked them down. “Annie! Thank God you’re here! I’ve been going insane with only these two to talk to!”
Then Annie caught sight of Mitchell, standing far back, his eyes now focused intently on her. She didn’t even feel Nina removing Eve from her.
“Annie…” he spoke differently to the Mitchell she’d known, more straight, formal. Almost like it was half solider Mitchell, who was a noble, respected man and half Vampire Mitchell, who could turn into a federal killer at the blink of an eye.
“Mitchell..” she whispered, her eyes filling dangerously. Mitchell to less then two huge strides before he had Annie wrapped in his arm, mouth pressed against hers.
“Annie.” he breathed again as he pulled away. He put her at arms length and stared at her. “Jesus Annie! You finally did it!” he whisper as a tear rolled down his cheek. “Oh god! Annie! I’ve missed you so much! But you’re here now Annie. You’re finally here.” he hugged her tightly.
George stood, crying slightly, his arm around Nina, who was smiling widely and holding baby Eve closely while Mitchell and Annie pulled away from each other smiling.
“Oh Annie! We’ve got loads to tell you!” George burst. “The Real Hustle never changes time and never has repeats on!” Annie smiled and chuckled.
“And you can eat here!” Nina grinned. “And change your clothes and make up and hair! Which I think is something you’re much over due for.” she continued.
“And you can have sex! Sex Annie!” Mitchell burst excitedly. Annie smother and raised an eyebrow. “Not that I’m saying we should… Not that… I mean, it’d be nice but…” he spoke quickly, trailing off.
“And you’ll never guess who lives next door! Only bloody Gilbert!” George squeaked.
And so the conversation continued that way, with George giving her all the fun news, Mitchell giving her all the cool news and Nina telling her all the serious, need to know news.
Then, after all that had finished, Annie made herself the first cup of tea she could drink in over four years
She’d never felt happier.
Mitchell’s prequel.
